Territorial much?

So today I'm at the day job (like always...sigh), and I'm working away in my 8x10 cubicle. I've got my iPod on, my earphones in and I'm minding my own business. Suddenly, a troll bursts through my privacy screen and starts shrieking at me. About what? No idea! I'm instantly on the defensive, grab my sword and assume the jousting position. What do you want? Get out of my space! Leave me! LEAVE ME!!!

The troll wanted nothing more than to get the car keys so he could annoy others in our friendly forest...er, city. Word of warning. When the princess is in her "zone" it is best to not sneak up on her or burst rudely in. Do yourself a favor and simply knock, and say "ehem, your Highness, I wish to beg your attention." :)

It's Friday and it's been a long day so far. Weird vibes are buzzing the offices, like a wizard has cast a spell turning everyone into nervous, twittering zombies. If you've ever seen a zombie twitter you know how scary it can be.

I'm sitting in a good place right now, I feel. I've got two stories submitting to two separate publishing houses; I've got one story on its way to being sent to my lovely editor; and, I was assaulted with two new story ideas over the past few days. One which gave me an epiphany about someone I knew many many years ago and an actor I swear I would stalk if my husband would just let me travel to Los Angeles for a few weeks. (He refuses to bail me out of jail though, so that plan is nixed.) An ex-coworker of mine is incredibly attractive, and very nice. I haven't worked with him for almost 7 years. Anyway, I found this sexy actor and just knew he'd make the perfect romance hero. So after drooling over him for the past two years, I finally realized yesterday that this actor and my ex-coworker are incredibly similar in looks. And of course that struck a new story idea. So eventually I'll put that idea to paper.

I've rambled enough to put the entire kingdom to sleep, so I will be off. Have a wonderful weekend!

Happy writing!
